Members present:
Susan Gillette, Clyde McGregor, Bob Linn, Jody Stewart, Bill McKay, Carla
Vorhees, Jack Jadel, Steve Huels, Breck Peterson, Bob Smith, Bruce Kelly,
Michelle Ellenshon, Barb Fifer.
Staff present: Joe Shank, Jenny Gleichauf, Bill Mueller, Floy Schrage.
Pastoral staff reports: were given verbally with written reports submitted. The
fall programs are off to a strong start. September minutes were approved as
submitted. (Gillette/McGregor)
Treasurer’s Report: September was a strong income month. Expenses are below
budget except for building expenses and utilities.
Executive Team: recommended we stay with our current plan of programs. Support
Group councilors will meet with the CIR managers to recommend the ratio of debt
and equity to be used to finance the outreach commitment. The debt portion of
the funding will be negotiated by council president Susan Gillette and Treasurer
Clyde McGregor, officers of the council.
Sanctuary Renewal Mission Funding Plan: The donated fund total $149, 100.00.
Four projects are being recommended (Separate hand out with details submitted).
The committee proposes to disperse the funds in tow approximately equal
payments. A motion to endorse the recommendation of the committee was passed.

Planned Giving Committee: Committee chair Pete Henderson and members Bill
Darnton and Mike Walther were present to propose a planned giving campaign
Separate hand out submitted). The campaign takes into account the demographics
of the congregation and its principal donors and would be targeted to about 50
people and would hopefully eliminate the need for future capital campaigns. The
council endorsed the proposal.
Action Items status: (separate hand out submitted) Steve Huels gave an update to
the open items. Significant progress has been made and the list is shorter that
last month.
Annual Giving program: A canvas committee has been formed. Its members include
Linda Schmidt, Kimberly Brya, Steve Huels and Adam Brown. The theme of the
campaign will be advised.
The meeting was adjourned with prayer at 10:15 pm.
