Members Present – Peggy McNamara, Steve Huels, Bob Smith, Clyde McGregor, Judy Achambault, Bruce Kelly, Bob Ebersole, Bob Linn, Carla Vorhees, Brad McLane, and Chuck Dowding. Staff in Attendance – Pastor Joseph Shank, Pastor Jenny Gleichauf, Pastor Bill Mueller, Business Manager Floy Schrage. The meeting was opened at 7:00 pm with a prayer by Jenny Gleichauf. Chairman Steve Huels made gave a review of the agenda for the evening. Council Minutes -The minutes of the May 10, 2011 were approved as presented (McNamara/Kelly). Pastor’s Reports – Joe, Jenny and Bill presented pastoral reports (Attached). Ministry Reports - Brief reports of activities were presented by each Ministry Group. Financial Health – Council had a lengthy discussion about what actions should be taken to deal with the revenue shortfall in the current budget year. It was decided to lay out a plan, create letters to several groups within the congregation stressing the need to address the current financial issues. The common message in these letters is that all members have a responsibility to support the church. Prior correspondence to the congregation have given details of the cause of our current shortfall, the giving patterns that are present, and the current need for members to increase their pledges wherever possible.
