Members Present – Peggy McNamara, Steve Huels, Bob Smith, Patty Van Cleave, Bruce Kelly, Bob Ebersole, Carla Vorhees, Brad McLane, Ed Katzman, and Chuck Dowding. Staff in Attendance – Pastor Jenny Gleichauf, Pastor Bill Mueller, Business Manager Floy Schrage. The meeting was opened at 6:35 pm with a prayer by Bill Mueller. Chairman Steve Huels made introductions of new council members Ed Katzman and Brad McLane and gave a review of the agenda for the evening. Council Minutes -The minutes of the April12, 2011 were approved as presented (Ebersole/Van Cleave). Pastor’s Reports – Jenny and Bill presented pastoral reports. Canvass Plans – Steve discussed the plans for reaching members who had not pledged and on presenting additional financial information to WCC members and the timing of the communications. The Messenger and letters to selected groups will go out by May 20, 2011. Action items – Steve reviewed and updated the action items. (hand out) Presentation of Confirmation Candidates – Pastor Gleichauf presented the candidates for confirmation and their mentors. Each of the sixteen candidates read portions of their faith statements and were questioned by the council and the mentors. A motion to accept them into membership of WCC passed.
