Family Promise Center Driving south on Green Bay, take a soft right on Ashland (just south of McCormick). One block south turn right on Payne. 1616 Payne is on your left in the alley behind Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. Look for balloons to guide you to the right spot! RSVP by June 11 to fpcnorthshore@gmail.com Family Promise Chicago North Shore is an interfaith network of congregations and social service agencies helping families in homeless situations. Our goals are: · Quickly return our guest families to permanent housing. · Provide transitional shelter, nutritious meals, and hospitality while keeping families together · Ensure children in homeless situations regularly attend the same school as they had before their family faced homelessness. Family Promise Chicago North Shore seeks a (volunteer) Volunteer Coordinator Family Promise Chicago North Shore (FPCNS) needs someone to make sure that all of our volunteer slots (about 15-40 hours per week) are filled on an on-going basis. This includes speaking to and/or e-mailing our volunteers, and filling out the monthly schedules. It does not require volunteer recruitment or volunteer management. Perhaps you’ve already been volunteering for FPCNS and, knowing how rewarding it is, you want to get more involved with the organization. Perhaps you’ve wished to volunteer, but the hours haven’t been right. If you enjoy organizing, enjoy talking with people, and have basic computer skills, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
