Schedule of Events
Let’s Fire Up
The Grill! Our Family Life group would like to invite you to a night of fun, games, food and a movie on the big screen at WCC. Bring something to put on the grill and a side dish to share. We’ll provide buns, condiments, drinks and ice cream. We will show the classic Mary Poppins on the big screen in Alsdorf (you’re welcome to sing-a-long). We’ll grill out on the patio. There will be games for kids and adults alike. Church School Events: WCC Children Head Down to Presbyterian Homes Some of our WCC children, youth and friends head down to share their musical talents with the senior residents of Presbyterian Homes in Evanston, IL. This will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 2-2:45pm at the Presbyterian Homes’ Elliott Hall. Anyone is welcome to assist in transporting the senior residents into the hall and to hear our children play their cello, violin and piano pieces. Thank you Clara and Sam Geraghty, Maia Law, Amanda and Kaitlyn Shoewe, Catherine and Elizabeth Woodburn, Isabel and William Dube, Jill Lerner, and Ella Hackett for sharing your gifts!
To celebrate Mother’s Day on May 11, 2008, we would like to give our dedicated Sunday school parent-teachers a well-deserved day off. We need members to help supervise our Church School children as they watch a bible movie in Alsdorf (with popcorn) and make “Mom Coupons” to give to their mothers that day. Please email our WCC Church School Coordinator, Theresa Law, at childrensministry@wcc-joinus.org or call her at (847)441-7440, ext. 17 if you would like to volunteer for this event.
