Rummage Sale                                                                                                                                       RUMMAGE SALE Winnetka Community House/Harkness Hall 620 Lincoln Ave., Winnetka  (corner of Lincoln and Pine) Rummage Office phone - (847) 446-0575 Spring Sale: May 13 2010 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.  ______ Fall Sale: October  2010 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Po polsku En Español PDDirections: NorNorthhbound:  From I-94 North, exit Willow Road East.  Go east on Willow Road to Green Bay Road, turn left (north), continue to Pine Street, turn right (east), and continue over bridge.  Community House is on the right. Southbound:  From I-94 South, Exit Tower Road East. Go east on Tower to Green Bay Road. Turn right (south). Go to Pine Street, and turn left (east).  Community House is on the right.         PuPublic Transportation: Linden Avenue:  Take EL to Linden Station in Wilmette and #423 bus to Elm and Lincoln, Winnetka.  Walk one block north to Community House. Davis Street: Take EL to Davis Street, Evanston, and the #213 bus north on Green Bay to Pine Street, Winnetka.  Walk one block east to Community House. The May Rummage Sale is an annual rite of spring at WCC that goes back over a century to 1902, when the Woman’s Society raised a modest sum of money at a “White Elephant Sale” to donate to those in need.  The sale represents the spirit of outreach, community effort, fun, fellowship, and service that are the mainstays of our church.  The wider community supports this ecumenical effort as well, by volunteering to work at the sale, by donating gently used goods, and by coming to shop.  To the top
